There is an option to randomize questions on LW assessments, can add extra questions so that placements are never exactly the same. currently the placement is set up as a course that unlocks other courses automatically.
Our directive is to initially mirror what we currently do in order to reduce variables, but then we can experiment with this, as it seems to have a lot of upside once tested. The one thing to control for is the variability in difficulty of questions, as that could affect scores and make comparing them could become less accurate.
“Failing” the assessment gives you access to a course automatically.
“Passing” the assessment gives you access to a different course automatically.
There was discussion whether multiple placements should be available, or a higher placement unlocked once the lower one was taken. For the sake of simplicity the initial thinking is to only have one placement and that informs the journey.
Higher levels can be diverted back to Kajabi for the time being.
There could be journey options that students choose based on their background. However, if they do not progress, they could be ‘downgraded’ to a more robust learning option.

Complete — feedback —-> based on results (binary most likely). Should also have details of orientation information.
Email sent? —- > Should be robust with explanations, options.
How will this look at scale?
There is an option to group by course section in grade book. Can have one grade book for all? Is there a way to use grade book for any data collection or actions?
