OVERVIEW
Thus far, you’ve focused primarily on:
1.) Letters, their pronounciation, connections, as well as various markings and lengthening through vowels.
2.) Then, you focused on words, starting with simple words and then expanding to longer words. Starting with simple words which are normally three letters, given most Arabic words have a three-letter root, then moving on to longer words.
Now, our focus will be seeing these words in sentences, in order to improve your fluency and speed when reading the Quran. In future lessons, we will cover a number of the short suras, as well as ayaat that contain vocabulary, which you will be learning over the coming lessons.
When reading, we will point out and practice the special rules on how to smoothly connect words, so that your reading is not choppy. We will also highlight the most common reading mistakes, as they pertain to pronunciation, elongation, and nasalization.
