Lead Quranic Arabic Instructor

Ustadh Syed M. Omair began his study of the Arabic language at the Qasid Arabic Institute in Amman, Jordan after graduating with a degree in Religious Studies from Stony Brook University. He was an instructor, curriculum developer, and textbook writer in the department of Classical Arabic Grammar at Qasid from 2011 to 2016. He has taught hundreds of students from various backgrounds across multiple platforms including online instruction.

In addition to being a student of Arabic he is also a student of the Islamic sciences, having studied Tajwid (Qur'anic recitation), Shafi'i Fiqh (Jurisprudence), Aqidah (Theology), Mantiq (Logic), Usul Al-Fiqh (Principles of Islamic Law), Tafsir (Qur'anic exegesis), Hadith and Shama'il (Prophetic narrations and description), and Tazkiyah (Spirituality) with scholars in public and private settings. Syed regularly offered small classes from his home to teach both Arab and non-Arab students the fundamentals of Fiqh, Aqidah, and Arabic as well as offer guidance in their personal lives and their studies. He is especially fond of teaching the Shama'il and connecting students to the Prophet and his blessed family, peace and blessings be upon them.

He is also an editor of Arabic texts and has worked on several Arabic/English publications with Ibriz Media and Qandusi Publications. Syed brings creativity, passion, and lucidity to his instruction of the Arabic language and constantly strives to improve his own teaching style and teaching materials.
