PAYMENT INSTALLMENT PLAN

I1. How does the monthly installment plan work?

  • The monthly installment plan takes the full tuition owed for a certain Fawakih program and breaks it into parts for ease of payment (instead of all at once). It is different from a monthly plan which is a fee-for-service ‘monthly service.’ Think of this more like a buying a phone broken down into installment payments rather than paying for your phone monthly service.

I2. Why am I charged in months that I’m not taking a live classes, for example prior to the program start or during a break or exam period?

  • The installment plan starts when you register and expires after the set number of installment months (whether 12 months, 18 months, or another fixed number of months). If it is an 18 month installment plan and you start it 6 months, prior to an 18 month course, it’ll end 6 months prior to the course ending. Thus you are paying for 6 months in which you are not taking weekly classes, but are also not paying anything after completing your payment plan for the last 6 months of your classes. Thus, in almost all cases, the payments do not align with the program dates.

I3. Can I cancel a monthly installment plan?

  • Yes, it can be cancelled anytime, however any credit accrued is lost. If you would like to defer your class to a future time, you can continue your plan to completion and use the credit for a future semester.

Can I repeat a Level?

  • NO, IF THE STUDENT SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED? You're welcome to take your time to review the materials and videos, however once a student has passed out or completed a semester successfully, we cannot re-enroll them in a live class for that session. Over the years and many of these situations, we've realized the importance of maintaining similar level students in a class. Having a student that is advanced or even someone who has completed the material successfully back into the session can be intimidating to those taking it for the first time. We hope you understand.

  • YES, IF THE STUDENT DID NOT SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED and PAYS RETAKE FEE.

Can my child take the course?

  • We do have a hand full of outstanding teenagers that excel in the program, but not younger than that. It is a college-style program, so it’s only appropriate for high schoolers that can handle that type of learning environment.

  • If there is parental support and if the teenager is mature, motivated, and not an absolute beginner (has memorized many Surahs, can read fluently), it could be a great learning experience for them.

  • For others, parents have often taken the course in order to be able to increase their knowledge own base and support their children’s education. Not only do the children see their parents’ example, but the materials we provide could be adapted and taught piecemeal to their child until he/she is ready to join.

Can a family member take the course with me?

  • That is an understandable request given your situation. Do keep in mind that the registration for the course is individual. Although we encourage students to share learnings with family members, the course materials that are shipped, testing, WhatsApp group, and live sessions are exclusively for the person registering. Many families take the course with other members (whether a spouse, sibling, parent, or child) and we encourage that, for it is helpful to have others who can journey together through this experience, but that registration is done separately. Each student makes a significant commitment to the program (and vice versa), and must be made carefully. We haven't seen an informal or casual approach to this program work in achieving the results we promise, thus we do not have auditors.

Can I defer my learning, if needed?

  • We do have a number of parents and caregivers who take the program and are concerned whether they can maintain the commitment across a longer period of time. This is also a common concern for those that may have changing work demands or health issues. We have flexibility built in so that a student can defer a semester (before it begins) and continue to finish the course at a later date. Thus, for example, out of the 2 levels, let's say you complete level 1, you can then take time off and continue level 2 later. We discourage taking long breaks, but we do have new cohorts starting each semester, if not then at least every 6 months.

Can I speak to someone on the phone?

  • Understandable! Unfortunately, due to the high volume of emails and registration we are unable to schedule a phone call at this time. However, you can expect quick email responses. Please share any specific questions here. The majority of the time we are able to answer them sufficiently and succinctly over email. In unusual circumstances, we may need to schedule a call. Best of luck with your decision!
