FAWAKIH’S INVERTED LEARNING MODEL:

This approach was piloted in 2020 and led by our most experienced instructor USTADH ISMAIL IBN ALI. Instead of listening to theory in class, we believe the future of online education is HIGHLY interactive and engaging. Students learned with tailored and expedited video lessons PRIOR to class. Class time is then freed up for exercises, quizzing, interactive reading with translation, TeachBack, and questions. We are FLIPPING the learning. What was normally learned in class is learned on your own, and what was home work, is now done collectively!

THE INITIAL RESULT OF THE PILOT ARE PROMISING:

1. 5% increase in quiz scores.

2. Record student quiz completion numbers (many students that struggled to complete with the previous model are now thriving!).

3. Increased energy and improved class culture (students loved the Kahoot in-class competition).
