4C Binder 2.0 Edition Mistakes:

LESSON 1

[11/13/24] PG. 21: Here, for إظهار شفوي, there is no غنة

[6/3/23] PG. 26 - For ahadith # 3 and #4, the glyphs representing the duas after the names of each sahabi are incorrect. For hadith #3, the dua after the name Mu‘āwiyah ibn Abī Sufyān should read: “radi Allahu anhumā”. For hadith #4, the dua after the name Anas ibn Mālik should read: “radi Allahu anhu.”.

LESSON 2

[6/13/23] PG. 34 & 37 - any instance of فتكون in the greyed boxes should be written فَتَكُونُ (with a dhamma on the last letter, not a fatha).

[6/13/23] PG. 44 #3 - the word أُسارى is mansub not marfu‘ (it is a حال)

[6/13/23] PG. 44 #6 - the word ناجٍ is marfu' not mansub (it is khabar of أَنَّ).

[6/13/23] PG. 50 - For hadith #1, the translation should read: “Religion is sincere advice.”

[11/13/24] PG. 52 - The verb فَكِهَ should have a fathah on the ف, and a kasrah on the ك, since it is on the وزن of فَعِلَ

LESSON 3

[6/19/23] PG. 52 - the singular of زَوائِدُ is زائِدَةٌ (with a ta’ marbuta).

[6/19/23] PG. 52 - the verb for “to be cheerful” is فَكَهَ with a fatha on the ف (not a kasra).

LESSON 4

[7/3/23] PG. 76 #4 - the translation of 12:80 should literally be: “He took from you an oath.” The words “Your father” are were included by the translator due to context of the verse.

[7/3/23] PG. 76 #5 - the Arabic of the passive rewrite should be لَتُرَيَنَّ (with a ت, not a ي at the beginning). This is more correct since الجحيم is considered feminine. While ليُرَيَنَّ could be allowed, لَتُرَيَنَّ is more appropriate.

[7/3/23] PG. 76 #9 - the translation of the passive rewrite should be “Shackles were placed on their necks.”

[7/3/23] PG. 76 #10 - the word شَهْوَة should stay mansūb in the passive rewrite (i.e., شهوةً).

[11/13/24] PG. 68 - The word عُضْوٌ should have a sukun on the ض, not a dammah.

LESSON 5

[7/13/23] PG. 96 #6 - the “family” should be كانَ (not إِنَّ) since the boxed portion is for the sentence تَكُونُ قَرِيْبًا.

LESSON 6

[7/18/23] PG. 108 - the word بلى in the table should be بل (as discussed in the matn).

[7/18/23] PG. 112 #6 - the second طيبة should be majrūr (to match شجرةٍ).

LESSON 7

[11/13/24] 4C Lesson 7 slide 14, number 9: it should be رأيتُ الرجلين أعيُنَهما ie الرجلين مفعول به منصوب

LESSON 9

[11/13/24] PG 165 - Mismatch in numbering in grammar exercises (#3 of Lesson 9 appears to be missing from binder/book)

LESSON 10

[11/13/24] PG. 178 - the translation for مُسْتَوٍ is indeed “upright”, but it is spelled incorrectly in the textbooks as “uprgith”

[11/3/24] PG. 178 - Lesson 10, the word سَوِيٌّ should have a shadda on the ي

LESSON 11

[8/28/23] PG. 198 - though it is correct in the matn, the example of والجَيْش should end in a fatha, not a dhamma.

LESSON 12

[11/13/24] PG 210 - in the first row, the plural of هَواءٌ is actually أَهْوِيَةٌ, not أَهْوَاءٌ. The word أَهْوَاءٌ is the plural of the word هَوًى (which is correctly listed in the second row)
