STUDY ARABIC FULL-TIME WHILE CONTRIBUTING YOUR TALENTS

Purpose: Recruit talented individuals to contribute to the advancement of Fawakih’s mission.
Details: The Fellowship is comprised primarily of Quranic Arabic studies and interning with Fawakih’s administrative team.
To this end, a fellow will receive:
Lugha - daily lessons covering Levels 1-6 of Fawakih’s Quranic Arabic Curriculum
'Ilm - weekly lessons in
Tazkiyah - covering Bidayat al-Hidayah by Imam al-Ghazali
Tafsir - covering Surat Yasin (faith) and Surat al-Hujurat (social interactions)
Hadith - covering 40 Hadith of Imam al-Nawawi
Stipend - monthly stipend of $1000 to cover housing and other expenses.
(Note: the exact stipend amount may vary based on the specific housing situation of the fellow)
To this end, a fellow will give:
- 3-4 hours per day (Monday-Friday) of work related to their fellowship position.
Open Fellowship Positions
TECHNOLOGY FELLOW
The Technology Fellow will utilize their knowledge of HTML to maintain and improve Fawakih’s websites. This includes tasks such as updating web pages, uploading student resources, improving user-friendliness, and using analytics to inform decisions for how to best utilize the website. The Technology Fellow will also manage Fawakih’s network and filing system.
EVENTS FELLOW
The Events Fellow will utilize their knowledge of event management to support planning and execution of various Fawakih events, retreats and bookings throughout the US. The Events Fellow will be serve as the main point of contact for events and work with all parties involved. This would also include planning for ISNA and any other conventions Fawakih may take part in throughout 2018.
DEVELOPMENT FELLOW
The Development Fellow will utilize their knowledge of fundraising and donor relationships to maintain a fund development function for Fawakih. The Development Fellow will exhibit strong interpersonal skills, with excellent verbal and written skills; attention to detail and follow-through. The Development Fellow will work closely with the Donor Relations Manager.
Creative FELLOW
The Creative Fellow will utilize their knowledge of video editing and graphic design to create educational and promotional content for Fawakih. The fellow will help formulate a content strategy for the organization, working closely with the Social Media and Technology fellows. The fellow must have experience with Adobe Creative Cloud products.
SOCIAL MEDIA FELLOW
The Social Media Fellow will utilize their knowledge of developing social media presence to increase Fawakih’s presence on various social media platforms. The fellow will plan and execute social media campaigns for the organization. The fellow will work closely with the curriculum team to post content on platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
EdTech Fellow
The EdTech Fellow will utilize their knowledge of technology to create Fawakih student resources. The fellow will work with the curriculum team to determine which resources are needed and how technology can be used to meet those needs. The fellow should have experience with mobile app development as well as programming languages and a deep familiarity with different technology resources available.
